Cry
Havok Rules of Conduct
These are the rules that we expect the members of our guild to follow.
Non-adherence to any of these rules is grounds for probation/removal from the
guild.
Adhere to the Blizzard EULA
Cry Havok supports all Blizzard regulations, sanctions, and decisions. All
members are expected to abide these regulations at all times. While we could not
or would not prevent complaints about rules, we DO expect them to be followed.
Guild Member Responsibilities
We ask that all members of Cry Havok register to the forums. It is extremely
important that members keep up with the forums as we progress through the game -
this is where we post charters and rules, schedule events, and discuss
strategies.
Remember that as a member of Cry Havok you are also, by default, an ambassador
of our guild to other players that you run across. Keep this in mind, and be
courteous and fair to others, and to each other.
Officer Responsibilities
Officers of the guild are chosen for their knowledge of the game, their
willingness to help guild members, and their professionalism in dealing with
conflicts both inside and outside the guild. They must maintain a working
knowledge of the guild Charters and Rules, participate in the forum discussions,
events and meetings, and be prepared to deal with conflicts that arise in the
game. Above all, they must be open to communications from any guild member on
any subject.
Guild Tabard
Every member of Cry Havok has the right to purchase and display the guild
tabard. There are no guild restrictions on said purchase or display, even on
your main character. However, we hope that if you so choose to wear our tabard,
that you do so with pride.
Allied Guilds
We have several guilds with whom we have created ties in order to expand Cry
Havok's ability to further explore the game and its intricacies. It is expected
that our guild members treat our allies as they would our own members when
hosting/participating in events, and when establishing inter-guild commerce.
Reports of malicious behavior towards or from these members should be directed
to Cry Havok leadership.
Language
It is important to remember that Cry Havok is comprised of players of all age
groups. While we respect each member’s freedom of speech, and do not monitor
language, we ask that you remember those members who may have underage children
playing as well. It should also be understood however, that excessive use of
foul or off-color language will be noted and dealt with accordingly. Attacks on
another’s race, religion, creed, or sexual orientation will not be tolerated
and will lead to actions up to and/or including probation and dismissal of the
offender.
Spam
Spam is continuous or unwarranted announcements through communication channels.
Guild members should be respectful of the size of the audience tuned into these
channels; private communication should be used where appropriate. This includes,
but is not limited to repeated requests for resources or gear, multiple requests
for quest or group assistance, and random comments not related to the current
discussion.
Communication - Ventrilo
Cry Havok has a dedicated Ventrilo server for real-time voice communication. For
instances that are less than 15-man, even if you do not have a microphone you
can still use Ventrilo to listen to commands in raids and instances and to ease
participation in general guild discussion. For instances that are above 15-man,
Ventrilo is not optional; we need our members to have the ability to respond
quickly to questions or comments in these situations.
Donations
Donations are used as a means to fund events, sponsor crafters, and present
rewards. While it is a member’s personal choice whether they wish to donate,
please keep in mind that we use these funds to pay for guild repair bills,
reagents, enchants, etc. We do keep track, albeit loosely, of what we receive,
and those members who donate will be the first to receive request goods/items.
Power Leveling
Power leveling is the employ of character(s) of higher levels to assist with
experience gains, item acquisition, or quest completion. Guild members may
choose to power level others at their discretion. Cry Havok does not, as a
guild, sponsor power leveling of its members.
Inactivity
Guild members are expected to maintain a level of activity for all their
characters. Characters that are inactive for extended periods of time will be
put on probation and eventually removed from Cry Havok. Members placed on
probation will be notified via in-game email of their status.
